So the other day I was trying to figure out if they were gonna limit the last day of rides on Star Tours to a certain group. Only at the very end, Turns out that they had an on-line sign up yesterday for D-23 members limited to about 200 people....enough people to fill all 6 Star Speeder 3000's for one last flight. Its still awesome to know that everyone else will have a chance through-out the course of the day!!!

RIP TOURS FOR HORROR NIGHTS ANNOUNCED!!!
I know this site is slowly turning into another unnoficial HHN website, but that whats current in the world of theme park right now!!!! Anyways, all the info for the behind the scenes tours and RIP tours have come out today...If you go to the Halloween Horror Nights Website, you can get all of the info under the "Buy Tickets" Tab in the top right hand corner of the screen. The behind thescenes tours which place during the day and offer "lights on" walk-throughs through 3 of the houses range from $50.00 to $75.00. The RIP walking tours of the event which include priority access to all the houses and shows start at $150.00.

LAST FLIGHT FOR STAR TOURS AT THE HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS IS SEPTEMBER 7TH
On August 14th I went to "The Last Tour to Endor" Event at Disney's Hollywood Studios. It was an amazing evening solely dedicated to Star wars! It was like the Star Wars Weekends event they have in the beginning of the summer but jammed together into one evening. It included a Star Wars themed fireworks show, a brand new Hyper-Space Hoopla, and a re-imagining of the Indiana Jones Stunt Show entitled "Indiana Jones and the Lost Jedi Temple of Doom." The best part of the stunt show was seeing George Lucas in the audience and having Seth Green and Anthony Daniels participate in the show as "extras"! So back to the point of the blog....the reason they had this event was to celebrate the closing of Star Tours because they are closing it and "re-imagining" it and turning it into "STAR TOURS:THE ADVENTURE CONTINUES"!!! They advertised it as an event where you could be the first to be the last. I think a lot of people were confused and thought that t was the last night that Star Tours was going to be opened.
The last actual operating day for Star Tours will be on Tuesday September 7th. It will re-open again on Tuesday May 11th, 2011!!! So what are they doing with it??? What we know so far is they are going to make it in 3D and give you some choices on which planet you would like to visit! So far we have heard about the forest moon of Endor, Bespin and Cloud City, and pod racing on Tattooine. With this being Disney, they are not simply going to change out the movie you are watching.
The story sis now going to take place between the 3rd and 4th movies, so it takes place a while before the attraction we know right now. Currently, you ride the star speeder 3000. Since this attraction takes place at an earlier time, your going to be riding the star speeder 1000!!!So besides painting the star speeders red, adding 3D, and changing the movies...what else can we look forward too??? Being the Disney nut that I am, I hoping to see the some changes in the queue. Not to go too nerd on you guys, but the Giant AT-AT that is placed right outside the entrance to the attraction did not exist when the events of this updated version occur, but I know Disney knows that very well and that will all be taken into account!!!
I rode Star Tours a couple of times on Monday, in the middle of the afternoon, it had no wait...amazing! I think the last day is going to be chaos. I heard that the Star Tours in California which closed at the end of July only let DVC members and annual passholders ride on the last day. Does anyone know if that is how they are going to do it at the Hollywood Studios? Regardless, I will be there going on it over and over again. Star tours is one of those attractions that you can place in your mind every time you think of one of your trips to WDW as a kid, with it being there for 20 years. Its going to be very sad watching it go, but amazing to see what the next ones going to look like...

Halloween Horror Nights 2010....waiting for Thursday!!!!
So, this Thursday (August 26th) Universal Orlando is going to launch their full site for Halloween Horror Nights 2010: Twenty years of Fear. What are we expecting and what are we hoping for??? Heres what we think we know so far:
--8 HOUSES
--6 SCAREZONES
--HORROR TRIBUTE SHOW
--BILL AND TED'S EXCELLENT HALLOWEEN ADVENTURE
--BRIAN BRUSHWOOD MAGIC SHOW???
--RETURN OF THE PARADE???....SORT OF
--AND HUGE NIGHTLY SHOW FEATURING ALL OF THE ICONS IN THE FEARFACTOR STADIUM
The houses started getting built back in June. There is a great chance that one of the houses is going to be dedicated to all of the icons from the past; Jack the clown, the Director, the Story Teller, the caretaker, ect. This house might be double the size of any house they have ever had before and will be located in one of the huge soundstages behind Hollywood Rip, Ride, and Rockit.
Another house rumor is ne entirely dedicated to the caretaker daughter, Cindy!!! Ths house might be located in the extended queue for Jaws. A few weeks ago, they had to open the extended queue and people were able to get a glimpse of a swing-set....rumors are pretty heavy that this could be the orphange where she grew up.
based on the photos on the webite, we know there is going to be some type of Mardi Gras themed house as well based on the artwork and costumes. There is a huge rumor that the parade is comig back....everything else coming out is proving otherwise. The main issue is room to move around...When they used to have the parade, they only had a couple of sarezones and they weren't placed in main area like they are today, the parade simply would not have the room to move around...too bad, I love beads!!!! So why are the rumors of the parde circulating??? Looks like there might be a scarezone in front of "DISASTER" that might be a tribute to the old parade, hence the photo on the webite.
Also, based on everything else we are seeing on the website, there might be houses based on scary tales, physcoscareapy, and the body collectors....I guess we have to wait for Thursday!!!!!

Creating your own Adventure!!!!!!
Everyone says it...."Why don't you write a blog about your endless adventures in the Theme parks in Florida?" The question I seemed to get asked the most is..."Don't you ever get tired of going to the parks?", and the answer is NO! The reason for that is simple, there is so much to do and it can be a completely diffrent adventure each time! This page is going to be completely dedicated to the main theme parks in the area and the stories that unfold in them.
